About the position

The Field Training Specialist position at Crunch Fitness - Undefeated Tribe LLC is a full-time role based in League City, TX, with frequent travel required to various locations throughout Texas and Oklahoma. This position is pivotal in enhancing the overall success of Crunch Fitness by focusing on the training and development of managers and staff members. The Field Trainer will be responsible for executing quality field training on a daily basis, which includes operations, personal training, and group fitness. This will be achieved through various methods such as role-playing, curbside coaching, and adapting training to different learning styles. The role requires a continuous focus on both immediate and long-term training initiatives aimed at elevating gym performance standards. In addition to conducting training visits, the Field Trainer will engage in seminars and collaborate closely with the operational team to monitor performance metrics. This collaboration will help identify areas for improvement and design targeted interventions and training programs for employee development. The Field Trainer will also be responsible for preparing, revising, and effectively executing training materials to ensure they remain relevant and engaging. The ideal candidate will bring energy and enthusiasm to the training process, resonating with diverse personalities and learning styles, thereby contributing significantly to the evolution and optimization of training materials. The position reports to the Field Training Manager and requires a minimum of 75% travel, which may include overnight trips. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about fitness and have a strong background in corporate leadership development and organizational development, ideally within the health and wellness industry.

Responsibilities

  • Executing quality field training on a daily basis within Operations, Personal Training and Group Fitness through role-playing, curbside coaching, retraining, and adapting to different learning styles.
  • Assisting in the preparation, revision, and effective execution of training materials to ensure relevance and engagement.
  • Maintaining a continuous focus on both immediate and long-term training initiatives to elevate gym performance standards.
  • Collaborating closely with the operational team to monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and design targeted interventions and training programs for employee development.
  • Conducting regular and as-needed seminars to disseminate knowledge and best practices.
  • Infusing the training and learning process with energy and enthusiasm, resonating with diverse personalities and learning styles.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate leadership development and organizational development required.
  • 1 year experience with fitness club ideal but not required.
  • Experience in health, wellness or fitness industry ideal.
  • Experience designing, developing and supporting organization-wide talent management programs focused on performance management, coaching and development preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience collaborating with operations team and leaders related to scheduling training interventions and seminars.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop and deploy learning in formats such as in person, virtually or via eLearnings.
  • Experience with presenting and communicating to diverse audiences.
  • Able to problem solve and collaborate cross functionally across all internal departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates degree in Learning, Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
