About the position

The Finance Director for Global Supply Chain Sourcing at Solventum is responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership to enhance sourcing operational performance. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to drive financial insights, standardize reporting processes, and ensure compliance with financial standards. The position plays a critical role in managing financial activities related to sourcing, including cost savings initiatives and financial reporting, while also supporting the overall goals of the Global Supply Chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational financial leadership to Global Supply Chain Sourcing Leaders.
  • Set direction on Purchasing and Spending for Global Sourcing.
  • Develop and drive end-to-end processes, analyses, and tools for standardized reporting.
  • Build and enhance market intelligence to understand external sourcing market dynamics.
  • Increase visibility and analysis of sourcing spend drivers.
  • Develop understanding of impacts to sourcing spend driven by sales volume and demand planning.
  • Drive cost savings for sourcing categories by identifying and analyzing options.
  • Ensure reporting of global category spend and drivers, translating sourcing savings to financial impacts.
  • Build capabilities to forecast sourcing spend.
  • Lead processes to support weekly updates, month-end close activities, and annual plans.
  • Standardize and automate sourcing spend reporting and financial impacts.
  • Support Source to Pay business transformation for ERP deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards related to sourcing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in finance or related field.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in finance organizations with understanding of business unit and commercial processes.
  • Five (5) years of experience in financial modeling and sourcing support for global organizations.
  • Five (5) years of finance experience within the manufacturing industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA, CMA or equivalent international certification.
  • Experience in the MedTech industry.
  • Five (5) years of finance experience within the healthcare industry.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills to engage with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead through others and influence.
  • Experience in a global business setting with understanding of operational and cultural differences.
  • Five (5) years of leadership experience managing senior level teams.
