About the position

The Finance Director at the Winona Community Foundation is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization in a nonprofit environment. Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, donation processing, and financial record keeping.
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and investment oversight.
  • Assist with grants, track funding, and help maintain records for audit preparation.
  • Utilize financial software for data entry and reporting.
  • Provide support for the Board of Directors and committees, ensuring effective communication across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and financial management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Familiarity with financial software for data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small office setting.
