About the position

The Finance Manager for the Supply Manufacturing at Diageo's new plant in Hope Hull, Alabama, will play a crucial role in establishing financial processes and controls at the startup manufacturing facility. This position is part of a finance team that delivers sustainable growth for the business, customers, and brands. The Finance Manager will lead financial reporting, accounting, and analysis, contributing to the North America manufacturing financial performance. The role involves driving performance and decision-making processes through financial support and leadership, developing annual operating plans, and identifying performance improvement opportunities. The Finance Manager will also maintain a strong internal control and compliance environment, simplify reporting processes, and proactively handle risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Establish financial processes and controls at startup manufacturing facility
  • Lead the financial reporting, accounting, and analysis of the site
  • Contribute to the North America manufacturing financial performance
  • Drive performance and decision-making process at the site through providing financial support and leadership
  • Lead the development of the annual operating plans (AOP) and latest estimates (LE)
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and work with the site leadership to complete them
  • Maintain strong internal control & compliance environment
  • Simplify reporting and decision-making processes by utilizing digital tools
  • Identify & proactively handle risks and opportunities and provide performance insights

Requirements

  • 5+ years of financial management and accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or fast-paced & complex consumer goods environment
  • Four year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting is required; a professional accounting designation or MBA is preferred
  • Strong technical accounting, planning, analysis, reporting and systems expertise
  • SAP knowledge a plus
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to distill complex business issues and provide clear plans for action
  • Excellent leadership and networking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
