About the position

MetLife, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, is one of the world's leading financial services companies, providing insurance, annuities, employee benefits, and asset management to individual and institutional customers. The Finance Manager role within the Financial Operations Expense Center of Excellence (Expense COE) is crucial for overseeing financial accounting, reporting, and process management for MetLife's Affiliated Transactions and Fixed Assets. This position requires a strong focus on GAAP and Statutory financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, with an emphasis on process improvement. The Finance Manager will provide guidance on inter-company, transfer pricing, and fixed asset accounting, oversee the preparation and processing of affiliate expense and fixed asset accounting transactions, and review and approve G/L journal entries and wire transfers for affiliated transactions. Additionally, the role involves supporting cash flow projections for US-based corporate service companies and ensuring compliance with SOX and internal audit controls.
