About the position
The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Cost Basis Team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and maintaining data integrity within the Global Tax Lots system. This role involves processing financial transactions, managing data entry, generating reports, and addressing client inquiries, with a strong focus on tax reporting compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process routine transactions, including data entry, account management, and payment processing
- Generate and analyze reports; support operations across assigned functional areas
- Research and resolve discrepancies in cost basis records
- Ensure compliance with IRS rules in tax reporting operations for securities and tax lots
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide efficient client support
- Train and guide junior team members when needed
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven ability to handle client inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industry regulations with adherence to IRS standards
Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
