About the position

The Financial Analyst - Accounts Payable position at Aerodyne Industries involves performing accounting tasks related to the review and processing of invoices, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is essential for supporting the company's financial operations and requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review expenses for accuracy, correct coding, and government compliance.
• Review submitted invoices and confirm supporting documentation, correct G/L coding, and appropriate approval prior to entering invoice into accounts payable system for payment.
• Conduct independent research, follow-up, and resolution of PO/variance/matching/receiving issues.
• Maintain up to date information for vendors, input new vendors in compliance with company policies.
• Review, verify, and process invoices and check requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of various bank and credit card accounts.
• Respond to government audits.
• Support and foster team environment by participating in corporate projects requiring financial evaluation.

Requirements

• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with desktop office software, with a strong proficiency level in Excel.
• Attention to details and problem solving skills.
• Sound decision making skills and ability to multi-task, while working under specific deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Government accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in Deltek Costpoint preferred.
