About the position

The Financial Analyst role provides analysis and recommendations to the business with a focus on operational support, profitability improvement, expense & capital management, budgeting, forecasting & reporting. This position will serve as a business partner to the eComm & Supply Chain organizations, collaborating with the business to provide meaningful financial analytics, business case development, profitability expectations and assistance with managing expense & capital.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Finance business partner and subject-matter-expert in business operations for the Supply Chain & eComm organizations: building/maintaining complex financial models, supporting the monthly financial close process, publishing Monthly/Qtrly/YTD financial reporting, as well as coordinating the annual budget and monthly forecast updates.
  • Partners with business & Accounting to ensure accurate actual results, submits business accruals & provides variance explains to forecast, budget & LY.
  • Supports business area initiatives and special projects through in-depth analysis, ad hoc report generation, & financial reviews including read-outs on project IRR, Cash Flow, Payback Period, NPV etc.
  • Supports CFO, Head of SC & eComm and VP of FP&A with ad-hoc analyses to drive strategic business operations.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements that drive operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
  • 2-3 years Financial Analysis experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibility, preferably within FP&A (retail a plus) required.
  • Advanced financial modeling & detailed understanding of P&L required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to use query tools and databases (Hyperion Essbase or Workday Adaptive a plus).
  • Ability to design and implement process improvements.
