About the position

Responsible for conducting and assisting in documenting simple to moderate financial analysis projects following standard practices and procedures. Participates in studies to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the unit. Extracts financial data from various accounting and information systems. Performs financial and cost accounting analysis of data. Leads due diligence efforts and develops materials suitable for distribution to senior management. Performs special projects for the company in support of both finance and accounting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial or business analyses and research in areas such as financial and expense reporting, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and accounts receivable.
  • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analyses.
  • Utilize computer systems and software, compile and prepare reports, graphs, and charts of data developed.
  • Serve as a systems administrator.
  • Assist in the development of business policies, conduct special financial and business-related studies, and cooperate with other departments in the preparation of analyses.
  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Apply a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verify documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
  • Train new hires and other department associates on how to use reports and/or systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in a job related field.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Able to compile information, design reports, perform research, and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of group financial statements.
