About the position

The Financial Analyst position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around financial analysis and reporting. The role requires preparing routine and ad hoc financial analyses, which include analyzing costs, volume, and other key indicators. The analyst will manage assigned projects while maintaining a high level of performance analysis, which encompasses data gathering, organizing, and presenting findings to management. Interfacing with leadership regarding financial reporting and data needs is a critical aspect of the job, as is identifying opportunities for streamlining and automating data gathering and reporting processes. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will work closely with the Leadership team to conduct ongoing reviews to ensure the achievement of key performance measures. This includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and monitoring trends in managerial accounting and decision support projects. A detailed knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, systems, corporate policies, and compliance requirements is essential. The analyst will also contribute financial expertise in planning new services that generate additional profitable revenue and participate in the hospital's monthly operation reviews and corporate office meetings as necessary. Other related duties may be assigned, and adherence to the facility's code of conduct and standards of behavior is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing routine and ad hoc financial analysis including analysis of costs, volume, or other key indicators.
  • Managing assigned projects and maintaining a high level of performance analysis.
  • Interfacing with various leadership regarding financial reporting and data needs and issues.
  • Identifying opportunities for streamlining, capturing, and automating data gathering and reporting processes.
  • Working with the Leadership team to perform ongoing reviews to ensure achievement of key performance measures.
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual reports and monitoring of trends for managerial accounting/decision support projects.
  • Having a detailed knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and systems, corporate policies and procedures, controls, and other finance program activities.
  • Assisting in ensuring that the hospital meets all necessary regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Contributing financial expertise in the planning of new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue.
  • Participating in the hospital's monthly operation reviews and corporate office meetings as deemed necessary.
  • Performing other related job duties as required.
  • Practicing and adhering to the facility's code of conduct, standards of behaviors, and mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Past experience in the field or in a related area is preferred.
