Performs professional level work involving financial management, analysis, evaluation and decision-making over a broad range of transactional activities including the supervision and training of subordinate Financial Analysts. Work schedule includes Auction Sales events which are currently planned for eight (8) Saturdays during the year. Will oversee cashiers along with other related functions at these events. Prepares, updates, and/or reviews monthly, quarterly and annual financial documents, construction work-in-progress, and capital outlay reconciliations; examines contractor payment applications or other relevant instruments. Coordinates and conducts field work with County departments/agencies to ensure proper accounting treatment to meet fiscal year-end deadlines (includes working directly with internal/external auditors); crafts internal and County-wide policies and procedures, desk procedures and manuals; processes budget requests and produces special reports for presentation to management. Maintains a comprehensive, organized and updated file system for both electronic (soft) and tangible (hard) matching and complementary originals or copies; designs and improves systems, schedules and methodologies; tests computer systems and applications in use by the Fixed Assets Management Office (FAMO). Performance is reviewed by an administrative superior through conferences, reports and observation of results achieved.
