About the position

The Financial Analyst Intern will join the Financial Planning & Analysis team at Saint-Gobain, assisting with the analysis of monthly financial statements, updating recurring reports, and supporting projects aimed at improving efficiency. This role is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a business school or equivalent, focusing on accounting or finance, and who are eager to gain practical experience in financial analysis within a leading global manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for management reporting, including analyzing business unit performance and variance analyses.
• Extract data from multiple systems such as SAP, Qlikview, and Magnitude to update recurring reports.
• Support the Financial Planning & Analysis team in projects that will improve reporting efficiency.
• Perform financial analyses and review key financial data for North American regional businesses.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis for management to support decision-making.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Business School or equivalent with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• Fundamental knowledge of financial statements, ratios, and main concepts of GAAP/IFRS.
• Advanced level of proficiency in Excel.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Windows software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
