About the position

Siemens Energy Gas Services Central Large Generator Manufacturing Business Segment is hiring an Inventory / Financial Analyst to be an integral member of this highly visible, dynamic, and hard-working team. As a member of the finance team, you will have primary responsibility for Inventory controlling, forecasting, & budgeting activities as well as process-improvement development. In addition, the position will also be responsible for supporting external auditing requests related to inventory and collaborating with technical partners in support of project execution and related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory reporting, forecasting, and bi-monthly inventory reports for MGN & MSU.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including Inventory, Accounts Payable, Aging, and Reserve.
  • Prepare, analyze, and extract reports from SAP and other databases/tools.
  • Support financial planning, monthly forecasts, and month-end closing activities, including journal entry postings.
  • Lead SOA controls for inventory, RIC testing, and support external auditing requirements (E&Y).
  • Handle ad-hoc requests, research data inquiries, and drive process improvements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • 2+ years' experience in finance/accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey sophisticated information to both technical and non-technical audiences, collaborate across all levels, and work optimally within teams to drive consensus and solutions.
  • Expertise in forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis (trend, variance), and monthly reporting, with proficiency in SAP (FICO) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities, with a continuous improvement mentality.
