The position also entails maintaining or overseeing the control of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. In addition to these core responsibilities, the overall duties of the Financial Analyst include managing closeouts, providing audit support, preparing journal entries, reconciling actuals ledgers, and implementing and controlling the SAP system. The role demands a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to interact effectively with senior management and directors within the organization. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and possess strong leadership skills, alongside proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and review budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, and expense reports.
  • Perform financial cost analyses functions, including cost allocation and setting up cost control systems.
  • Collect data and control costs while preparing reports to maintain the company's cost accounting systems.
  • Ensure costs are allocated according to established procedures.
  • Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
  • Maintain or oversee the control of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
  • Manage closeouts and provide audit support.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile actuals ledgers.
  • Implement and control the SAP system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance prior to start.
  • Experience with Accounting Systems.
