About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a position in Texas that will play a crucial role in assisting with the setup and management of the contract Earned Value Management System (EVMS). This position involves a variety of responsibilities including cost control and analysis, proposal preparation, and staffing. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and tracking budgets, conducting manpower forecasting, and performing Earned Value computations for various funding sources. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will support a myriad of program finance functions. Key tasks include establishing and managing program cost baselines, conducting Earned Value analysis along with associated variance analysis using various enterprise toolsets such as EFS and SAP. The analyst will also conduct Estimate at Complete (EAC) analysis and prepare accompanying analysis and recommendations for presentation to various levels of leadership. Additionally, the role involves working on proposal actions and compliance checks in collaboration with engineering teams. The position requires a strong finance background and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential, as well as experience in budget and cost management. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Earned Value Management and proposal experience on Department of Defense (DOD) contracts, along with familiarity with Lockheed Martin's Program Performance Management Process (PPMP). Experience with EFS, SAP, and Tableau is also desired, as well as multi-functional Earned Value Management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and presentation skills, and a self-starter attitude are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with contract Earned Value Management System (EVMS) setup and management.
  • Conduct cost control and analysis for various programs.
  • Prepare proposals and manage staffing requirements.
  • Develop and track budgets and manpower forecasts.
  • Perform Earned Value computations for multiple funding sources.
  • Establish and manage program cost baselines.
  • Conduct Earned Value analysis and variance analysis using EFS, SAP, and other tools.
  • Perform Estimate at Complete (EAC) analysis and prepare recommendations for leadership.
  • Work on proposal actions and compliance checks with engineering.

Requirements

  • Six (6) or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or four (4) or more years with a master's degree.
  • Finance background/experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in budget and cost management.
