About the position

Schneider Electric is seeking a Financial Analyst in Buffalo, NY. This role is a hybrid opportunity, with two - three days a week in the office. The Financial Analyst will support the CFO in managing the company's financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts; monitor performance against the budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business decisions and evaluate potential investments and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the financial integration of this entities, ensuring alignment with corporate financial practices during the transition period.
  • Work closely with various departments to gather relevant data and insights, ensuring alignment with financial goals and strategies.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as requested by the CFO or other senior management.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for board meetings and executive-level discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, financial software).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves
