Financial Analyst

About the position

Precoat Metals is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team, focusing on financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business analytics, modeling, and investment decisions. This role involves significant collaboration with regional and plant management teams, where you will be a key business partner. Your responsibilities will include month-end analysis, reporting, management communications, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as acquisition due diligence. You will work closely with various departments, including operations, commercial, HR, and finance, to identify revenue generation and cost reduction opportunities, improve profitability, manage working capital, and implement operational efficiencies. Additionally, you will assist with contract negotiations and handle complex financial analyses, including financial modeling and ROI analysis. You will also partner with the Accounting group to drive improvements and streamline KPIs with Management Information Systems (MIS).

Responsibilities

• Month end analysis, reporting & management communications
• Monthly forecasting, annual and long term planning and budgeting
• Acquisition due diligence
• Key business partner to operations, commercial, HR, MIS and finance leads
• Revenue generation or cost reduction opportunity identification and implementation
• Profitability analysis and improvement
• Assist with working capital management
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies
• Continuous improvement, process improvement and benchmarking initiatives
• Assist with defining and setting strategy
• Deliver top notch customer service internally and externally
• Assist with contract negotiations for customer, vendor, labor, warehouse and natural gas contracts
• Handle complex and high level financial analysis
• Administer standardization and best practice efforts for the organization
• Partner with the Accounting group to understand key drivers of the financial statements
• Assist in month end close duties
• Work with Management Information Systems (MIS) to streamline KPI’s and business information
• Primary point of contact for Regional General Manager on finance related topics

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance required
• CPA/MBA/MF preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Superior work ethic and discipline
• Strategic mindset
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of progressive finance and data analytics experience
• Experience in or ready for a fast paced, operations and manufacturing environment
• 2+ years’ experience in industrial services industry preferred
• Heavy Excel and MS Office application skillset required
• Ability to travel up to 25%
