About the position

Aeyon is seeking a Financial Management Analyst to support the execution and reporting of Financial Management (FM) operations for Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in budget execution, cost accounting, and compliance with OMB A-123 and financial statement audit initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management principles and the ability to interpret and apply FM and logistics policies, procedures, and systems effectively. The analyst will be responsible for supporting Fiscal Year (FY) closeout activities, which include funds execution, reconciliation, and validation within the Navy ERP system. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and delivering FM briefings, training sessions, and internal control assessments. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently. The role demands a keen attention to detail and organizational skills, along with the capability to critically evaluate financial data and problem-solve in a fast-paced, time-constrained environment. Key duties include preparing, reviewing, and managing funding documents, entering financial data into accounting systems, and identifying and documenting any abnormal conditions within SOCPAC appropriations. The analyst will also conduct financial analysis and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense Financial Management Regulations (FMR). Additionally, the role may require CONUS and OCONUS travel to support various financial management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, monitor and manage funding documents.
  • Enter financial data into the accounting system (Navy ERP and/or DAI).
  • Identify and document all abnormal conditions within SOCPAC appropriations.
  • Identify financial statement deficiencies and perform root cause analysis to develop recommendations.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and assist with financial statement analysis.
  • Retrieve Status of Funds (SOF) Reports and reconcile accounting logs.
  • Submit written monthly financial status reports to the government lead.
  • Conduct financial analysis and risk analysis to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Verify that posted Accounts Payable transactions conform to management requirements.
  • Retrieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and analyze data output.
  • Track, verify, and reconcile all required funding transaction types.
  • Review and submit analysis of the command's Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DARQ) submission.
  • Maintain and file documentation within the SOCPAC document repository to support de-obligations and ensure audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in military financial management.
  • Working knowledge of at least 7 of the following systems: SABRS, Navy ERP, SMARTS, WAWF, DTS, EDA, ADVANA, SYNCADA, One Touch, One Pay, DAI, DCAS, DCBS, CHOOSE, CFMS.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/business administration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Navy ERP, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.
