About the position

The Sales Outfitter position at Bass Pro Shops involves engaging with customers to provide exceptional service and support in the fishing and marine sales department. The role focuses on creating a pleasant shopping experience, demonstrating products, and assisting customers with their purchasing decisions. The Sales Outfitter is responsible for maintaining product knowledge, restocking merchandise, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
• Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales and maintain pricing and signing.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Restock merchandise as required.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Provide assistance to customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system.
