Flare Test Facility Engineer

About the position

Zeeco, Inc. is seeking a Flare Test Facility Engineer to join our team. This position is primarily focused on completing flare testing for the Flare Systems group, with occasional opportunities to work on other combustion testing such as burners and thermal oxidizers for cross-training. The engineer will be responsible for confirming equipment selection and design, performing and coordinating required calculations and sketches to establish flare equipment design and representative flare test setups. Additionally, the role involves performing and coordinating flare tests efficiently to meet or exceed customer expectations, conducting flare product research and development, and ensuring that testing equipment is calibrated and configured correctly. Effective troubleshooting in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems is essential, along with good communication skills to work with customers during flare acceptance tests. The engineer will also organize work tasks and supervise Flare Test Technicians while following all safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete flare testing for the Flare Systems group.
• Work on other combustion testing for cross-training.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or five years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Personal computer skills are required.
• Willingness to work outside for long hours.
