About the position

The Floating Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in our company by providing exceptional customer service to both prospective and current residents. This full-time position is available immediately, and we are seeking a qualified candidate who has previous experience as a leasing agent or assistant manager in an apartment community, or has strong experience in sales and customer service within an office environment. The ideal candidate will embody professionalism and possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey the benefits of our apartment community to potential residents. In this role, the Leasing Agent will be responsible for responding to leads through various channels including phone, in-person, and written communication. They will conduct tours of the apartments, screen prospective residents, and maintain accurate records using Entrata property management software. Additionally, the Leasing Agent will assist residents with inquiries and requests, ensuring compliance with all Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations. Building and maintaining productive relationships with the Property Manager, site team, and coworkers is essential to the success of this position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the team and the community. Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents.
  • Communicate the benefits of the apartment community to potential residents.
  • Respond to leads via phone, in-person, and in writing.
  • Conduct tours of apartments for prospective residents.
  • Screen prospective residents and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist residents with questions or requests.
  • Comply with all Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.
  • Maintain professional relationships with the Property Manager and site team.
  • Utilize Entrata property management software for record-keeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a leasing agent or assistant manager at an apartment community.
  • Strong experience in sales and customer service.
  • Excellent customer service, sales, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prepare paperwork and reports accurately.
  • Must not be a resident of a Sunrise-managed apartment community.
  • If holding a real estate license, must be willing to transfer it to Sunrise Management & Consulting.
  • Valid New York State driver's license and own vehicle required.
