FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

About the position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring various types of flooring in a healthcare environment, utilizing industrial floor care equipment and following safety procedures. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the cleanliness and safety of healthcare facilities, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surfaces.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

• Floor care experience is required.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
