We are seeking a Flow Waterjet Technician to join our team, responsible for delivering high-level technical support to customers, focusing on the service and maintenance of Flow International Corporation's waterjet cutting and surface preparation systems. This role is critical in ensuring optimal performance of the equipment through troubleshooting and repairs. The technician will be required to travel frequently to customer sites, which may involve extended periods away from home and travel exceeding 90%. The position demands a strong technical background, particularly in areas such as robotics, motion control systems, and CNC machine tools, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve technical issues independently. The Flow Waterjet Technician will provide technical support on the operation, troubleshooting, part identification, and repair of Flow equipment, both at customer locations and remotely via phone and email. This includes completing administrative documentation promptly and adhering to the company's RMA policy while documenting customer-identified system defects. The technician will also assist in maintaining an up-to-date document library for Flow products, which includes drawings, manuals, specifications, and other relevant technical documents. Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with distributors and customers is essential, as the technician will serve as a liaison between them and Flow. In addition to technical support, the technician will perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist customers in establishing preventative maintenance schedules. The role may also require being on-call as needed, responding promptly to after-hours and holiday customer support requests.
