About the position

Sodexo is hiring a Food Production Manager 2 for Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, Hawaii. In this hands-on role, you'll lead and mentor a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality food production for patients, staff, and visitors. As a key manager, you'll oversee daily operations, maintain food safety standards, and drive efficiency while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities

• Work with vendors on procurement items.
• Responsible for purchasing manager and purchasing financial audits.
• Implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering and patient services.
• Deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations.
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
• Develop strategic plans.

Requirements

• A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends.
• A strong production culinary background, ideally in an upscale restaurant/retail/catering environment.
• Menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends.
• A strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts.
• The ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team.
• Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits.
