Responsibilities

  • Provide protective and first responder services to the Vermont National Guard.
  • Conduct fixed posts, mounted, and foot patrols on military installations.
  • Enforce regulations and ensure adherence to security protocols.
  • Maintain integrity and professionalism while interacting with military personnel, civilians, and guests.
  • Safely operate around moving aircraft and work in restricted areas.
  • Handle sensitive classified information and manage exposure to dangerous situations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience in the security or law enforcement field.
  • Successful completion of a military law enforcement/security technical school or police academy program.
  • Successful completion of two years of full-time college coursework in a law enforcement/criminal justice field.
  • Current valid State driver's license is required.
  • Ability to lawfully possess and qualify with firearms during the probationary period.
