About the position

The FP&A Analyst specializing in Procurement will be responsible for managing and analyzing procurement costs, supplier performance, and related financial metrics to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials. This role involves data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and providing insights into procurement trends and efficiencies to improve business operations. The Analyst will collaborate closely with procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to optimize purchasing strategies, ensure cost control, and enhance supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and track procurement costs, supplier pricing, and purchasing volumes.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement cost forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on procurement costs, identifying reasons for deviations from budget or forecast.
  • Work closely with procurement, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to gather data and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management summarizing procurement cost trends and supplier performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement practices.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and supplier negotiations.
  • Ensure the integrity of procurement data within financial systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, with a focus on procurement costs, purchasing, or supply chain finance.
  • Strong understanding of procurement cost drivers, supplier negotiations, and financial principles related to sourcing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions and pivot tables.
  • Experience with financial planning software (SAP) and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a similar analytical role, preferably within procurement or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and strategies.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and supplier relationship management.
