FP&A Analyst

About the position

Trend Micro is seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical FP&A Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role will primarily focus on the calculation and analysis of commission payments for the Canada BU salesforce, but will also support broader financial planning, analysis, reporting, and various ad hoc projects for the Americas organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets, have strong Excel skills, and have the ability to adapt to new tasks and changing priorities. The Analyst will report to the FP&A Manager.

Responsibilities

• Calculate & ensure accurate, timely commission payments based on individual commissions plans and sales performance.
• Work closely with the Sales team to communicate commission structures, ensure they are followed and resolve any discrepancies or commission related questions.
• Collaborate with the Sales Ops team to ensure accurate sales data.
• Assist with monthly & quarterly financial reporting, including analyzing & reconciling operating expenses.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing insights related to commissions and other assigned cost centers.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in special projects as requested.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 2+ years of financial analysis experience
• Strong understanding of financial operations and forecast processes
• Proficient in Excel including advanced formulas and data analysis
• Solid understanding of accounting and ability to create journal entries
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
