FP&A Analyst

About the position

PetIQ is looking for a Financial Analyst. The candidate will possess an analytical and detail orientated mindset. This role will be responsible for preparing monthly and annual reports, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounting and finance systems, strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial modeling, and the ability to communicate financial concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Key contributor to recurring reporting packages presented to executive leadership teams & responsible for formal presentation of variance analysis.
• Analyze key financial metrics and trends to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, profitability assessments, and cost evaluations.
• Contribute to the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes for multiple divisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and operational efficiency.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
• Offer analytical support for departmental projects as necessary.
• Projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience in a specialized Finance professional role.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, sound computer skills and previous experience with ERP systems preferred (Sage X3 a plus).
• Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently to meet deadlines and be willing to work additional or flexible hours as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial reporting tools. PetIQ uses Vena and Sisense.
• Basic understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Strong Excel skills along with working knowledge of how to gather data from various systems.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information.
