About the position

Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, the FP&A Analyst will support the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-term planning processes. This role will provide accurate and timely information, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators so that management has a robust outlook on the company’s financials.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with site finance teams and corporate budget owners to clearly communicate expectations and deadlines in support of timely and accurate data submissions
  • Provide training/assistance to site finance teams and corporate budget owners utilizing our templates and tools
  • Support the plan consolidation process through thorough working knowledge of the site and corporate workbooks, while providing timely QA/QC and data synthesis
  • Provide valuable insights to finance and cross-functional teams through plan/actual data analysis
  • Produce reporting deliverables for presentation to executives and board members
  • Support the development of site reporting packs/presentation templates to facilitate better 'storytelling' for plan/forecast submissions
  • Maintain the global planning calendar to ensure timely and up-to-date communication with all stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive working knowledge of the Onestream planning and consolidation system
  • Support the creation of job aides and other training documentation for end-users in support of greater systems adoption within the company
  • Provide ongoing adhoc training/assistance to corporate and site planning system users
  • Provide input and working knowledge for the design of formalized plan/forecast reporting
  • Support the corporate finance team initiatives, as-needed
  • Backup other areas of corporate finance, as-needed

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • 1-2 years of experience in FP&A or accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with individuals across all functional areas and different levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to summarize the key points in an analysis

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional designation (CPA, CFA, MBA)
  • Knowledge of the mining industry
  • Experience in SAP, OneStream, or PowerBI reporting
