About the position

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is seeking applicants for a 10-month graduate faculty position in Psychology (Applied Behavior Analysis) with an anticipated start date of August 2025. Reporting to the Dean of Arts and Sciences, the faculty member will primarily serve teaching graduate coursework and chairing thesis projects in the Master of Science Applied Behavior Analysis Program. Secondary responsibilities in research and service also exist. Practice or consulting days alongside the appointment will be considered. Hybrid work schedule will also be considered. The person in this position must function in accordance with the philosophy and mission of the University, must display an appreciation for Catholic higher education and must demonstrate a commitment to diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Chair thesis projects in the Master of Science Applied Behavior Analysis Program.
  • Engage in research and service activities.
  • Model the Franciscan values and promote justice for the communities served.
  • Implement curricular and instructional interventions.
  • Develop student learning outcomes.
  • Utilize peer review and coaching.
  • Engage in professional development activities.
  • Reflect on summative students' evaluation of academic advising experience.
  • Present at local, state, national, and international professional conferences.
  • Demonstrate publication of works and solicit funded research.
  • Participate in community groups and organizations related to the College Mission.
  • Participate in committee work at the program, school, or institutional level.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in applied behavior analysis or psychology (ABDs will also be considered).
  • BCBA certification (or eligibility).
  • LBA certification in Louisiana (or eligibility).

Nice-to-haves

  • BCBA-D certification (or eligibility).
  • Teaching experience in applied behavior analysis at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
  • Research mentorship experience in applied behavior analysis.
  • Experience teaching online/hybrid delivery modes.
