About the position

In this position, you will be tasked with ensuring that high-quality products are available for our members. This includes maintaining cleanliness, controlling temperatures, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of any lesser-quality food products. You will also be responsible for packing ready-to-sell products in appropriate containers and stocking displays to ensure a visually appealing shopping environment. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining safety standards within the facility by adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines. This involves conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, and handling hazardous materials correctly. You will maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer, cooler, and deli area according to company policies, which includes handling claims and returns, zoning the area, receiving and stocking merchandise, and organizing product displays. Providing excellent member service is a key aspect of this role, as you will be expected to acknowledge members, assist with their needs, and resolve any issues they may encounter. Responsibilities
- Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct safety sweeps and report unsafe situations to management.
- Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer, cooler, and deli area according to company policies.
- Handle claims and returns, zone the area, and receive and stock merchandise.
- Set up, clean, and organize product displays, and remove damaged goods.
- Sign and price merchandise appropriately, and complete required audits and documentation.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs.
- Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues and concerns.
- Comply with food handling policies and operate, repair, and sanitize equipment.
- Monitor freezer/cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience in stocking and customer service is preferred.
