The position involves processing customer billing accurately and within requested time per their requirements and according to company policy for the various company divisions. Responsibilities include managing, analyzing, and preparing correction forms for billing corrections in an access database, understanding essential freight documentation that supports charges invoiced, and auditing carrier freight bills. The role also requires investigating and diagnosing potential errors and duplicate carrier billing, performing ad-hoc reporting, and being flexible to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer billing accurately and within requested time per their requirements and according to company policy.
  • Manage, analyze & prepare correction forms for billing corrections in access database.
  • Understand and discuss essential freight documentation that supports charges invoiced and is required for payment.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of how Billing functions affect P&L.
  • Audit carrier freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts.
  • Understand the internal technologies required for daily functions.
  • Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate carrier billing.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.
  • Be flexible to work overtime when needed.

Requirements

  • Competent with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and shift focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties.
  • Good attitude and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to abrupt changes.
  • Well organized with good follow-up skills.
  • Ability to sense urgency and know when to escalate for assistance.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers and carriers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Relevant/Related Work Experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Eligible for Bilingual (Korean entry level) applicant.
