About the position
As a Freight Handler at Walmart Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in moving products through our distribution network to the stores, ensuring that our customers receive the products they expect at an everyday low price. This position is essential in maintaining the flow of freight, which is fast-paced and requires a high level of productivity. You can expect the work to be physically demanding, involving lifting heavy cases in extreme climates. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to focus on your safety and the safety of others while performing your duties. Your responsibilities will include handling and processing freight in a safe and correct manner, loading and unloading products, order filling, packing, and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and timely. You will also be responsible for reporting any unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures to management. Using freight handling equipment safely and maintaining a clean work environment are also key aspects of this role. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity is essential, as is ensuring the quality and integrity of the freight being handled. Responsibilities
- Handles and processes freight in a safe and correct manner through the facility to the Stores.
- Loads, unloads, order fills, packs, and/or processes freight in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reports unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures to management.
- Uses freight handling equipment in a safe and correct manner.
- Maintains a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Ensures freight quality and integrity.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
