About the position

As a Freight Handler at Walmart Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in moving products through our distribution network to the stores, ensuring that our customers receive the products they expect at an everyday low price. This position is essential in maintaining the flow of freight, which is fast-paced and requires a high level of productivity. You can expect the work to be physically demanding, involving lifting heavy cases in extreme climates, and there will be a strong emphasis on safety for yourself and your colleagues. Your role will directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain and the satisfaction of our customers. In this position, you will be responsible for handling and processing freight safely and accurately. This includes loading, unloading, order filling, packing, and processing freight in a timely manner. You will need to communicate any unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures to management. Additionally, you will be expected to use freight handling equipment safely and maintain a clean work environment to ensure compliance with safety standards. Adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity is crucial, as is ensuring the quality and integrity of the freight being handled. You may also be assigned additional duties as needed. Responsibilities

  • Handles and processes freight in a safe and correct manner through the facility to the Stores.
  • Loads, unloads, order fills, packs, and/or processes freight in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Reports unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures to management.
  • Uses freight handling equipment safely and correctly.
  • Maintains a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Ensures freight quality and integrity.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy cases and work in extreme climates.
