About the position

The Front Desk Receptionist and Medical Assistant role is a full-time position in a growing Plastic Surgery Practice. The primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service to patients while performing administrative support tasks for the physician and practice team. This includes managing front office duties, scheduling appointments, and assisting with medical procedures, all while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients into the office and check in for scheduled appointments
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Assist with in-office medical procedures
  • Ensure all patient data is entered into systems accurately
  • Check out patients and schedule necessary follow-up appointments
  • Engage in skin care retail sales
  • Communicate with patients via in-person interaction, telephone, and email inquiries
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns for appropriate follow-up
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock in lobby and retail areas
  • Room patients and inform providers when patients are ready to be seen
  • Perform room turnover and cleaning of exam rooms
  • Coordinate inventory and ordering of front office supplies
  • Verify medical insurances and perform insurance authorizations
  • Help coordinate patient surgeries
  • Provide outstanding customer experience

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of front desk medical/MA experience
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification
  • Experience in assisting with surgical procedures
  • Knowledge of plastic surgery procedures and a passion for the cosmetic industry
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is necessary
  • Punctuality and a strong work ethic are necessities

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous cosmetic and/or luxury sales experience
  • Social media savvy and excited to participate in marketing efforts
