About the position

The Front Office Clerk / Management Trainee position at Beachfront Palms Hotel is designed for an energetic individual who is passionate about hospitality and customer service. This role involves working at the front desk, providing exceptional guest services, and learning various hotel operations with the potential for advancement into a supervisory or management position.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with management to learn other jobs in the hotel, including check-in/check-out procedures, room assignments, and guest services.
  • Work the front desk and become an ambassador for the hotel.
  • Train others who share enthusiasm for guest service.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Uphold hotel policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests.

Requirements

  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Strong guest relations skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and systems, including night audit procedures and phone systems.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Choice Hotel's Choice Advantage / Skytouch system is a plus.
