About the position
The Front Office Coordinator at Athletico is responsible for creating a positive first and last impression for patients, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout their physical therapy journey. This role involves managing clinic scheduling, onboarding new patients, verifying insurance, and coordinating communication between patients and healthcare providers. The position emphasizes a patient-centered approach and supports the clinic's operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly, and compassionate service to all patients and staff.
- Manage clinic scheduling to optimize patient flow and match patients with appropriate clinicians.
- Conduct new patient onboarding, including facility tours and data gathering.
- Verify patient medical insurance information and manage insurance requirements.
- Coordinate communication of patient progress to relevant parties such as physicians and case managers.
- Assist in managing patient expectations regarding treatment frequency and goals.
- Organize cultural moments to recognize and appreciate patients' achievements.
- Execute administrative and patient experience Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide general office, receptionist, and clerical support.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
- Experience with managing customer payments preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
