About the position

The Senior Full Stack Application Developer at Steampunk is responsible for designing and developing applications that address mission-critical data challenges for clients. This role involves collaboration with a diverse team of data engineers, designers, and cybersecurity experts in a mature Agile/DevSecOps environment. The developer will leverage their extensive experience to enhance data accessibility and decision-making through the development of APIs and new functionalities, while adhering to human-centered design principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data engineers, designers, and cybersecurity experts to solve data challenges.
• Develop new functionalities and ensure product releases meet quality standards.
• Provide APIs and data for decision-making across various client teams and systems.
• Participate in a mature Agile/DevSecOps environment to deliver client-focused solutions.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience with Java.
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Core and Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of experience with React or Angular (Angular preferred).
• 3+ years of experience building and deploying applications in AWS.
• 2+ years of experience with containerized applications in a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS preferred).
• 5+ years of experience with build, deployment, and release automation in a DevOps environment.
• 3+ years of experience in a cloud-enabled environment (AWS Govcloud preferred).
• Possession of at least one relevant professional certification.
