About the position

The Full Stack Software Developer (Junior) position at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) involves supporting the United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software solutions for the Cyber Operations Branch. The role emphasizes agile development practices and the integration of security throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to the creation of defensive cyber solutions to protect USSF mission systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop software in support of Space Systems Command Cyber Operations Branch.
• Adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and practices.
• Implement DevSecOps practices to automate security integration in the software development lifecycle.
• Deliver deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect USSF mission systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related STEM field and 4 years of experience in full stack development; or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
• Experience in at least 2 programming languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Angular.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of technologies such as Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, and AWS Cloud.
• Ability to obtain SAFe for Teams Certification and AWS certifications within a year of start date.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command.
• Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office.
