About the position

LMI is currently seeking a qualified Full Stack Developer in support of our Defense Intelligence client in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will bring experience in multiple development technologies and methodologies as well as strong process transformation skills to enhance the team's capabilities. Relevant experience for this role may include any or all of the following: software development, cloud engineering, management consulting, implementing software code, and debugging technical issues. The candidate must have the ability to research, test, build, and coordinate integration per government requirements. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for delivering web solutions for the federal government, developing in multiple languages, and working on both front and backend development, including microservices and API development. You will collaborate with the government lead to develop solutions, interface designs, and the architecture of websites. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is essential, as you will be responsible for updating and creating customized web applications, which may include Tableau Dashboards. Your role will involve implementing software code and debugging technical issues, ensuring that all developments meet government standards. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can take loose requirements and turn them into effective solutions. You will need to communicate clearly and frequently with both developers and non-developers to solve technical challenges and requirements. Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases is crucial, as you will be working with various database systems to design schemas, define data, and execute advanced queries.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver web solutions for the federal government.
  • Develop in multiple programming languages for both front and backend.
  • Work on microservices and API development.
  • Collaborate with the government lead to develop solutions and interface designs.
  • Update and create customized web applications, including Tableau Dashboards.
  • Implement software code and debug technical issues.
  • Research, test, build, and coordinate integration per government requirements.
  • Develop site concepts in collaboration with the government lead.

Requirements

  • An active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or an associate's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience in frontend and/or backend web application development.
  • Professional experience with at least one backend language (C#, Java, Python, Go).
  • Professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, using APIs, design, CSS, HTML, React.
  • Strong SQL skills or experience with ORMs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to turn loose requirements into solutions.
  • Willingness to seek guidance and offer alternative solutions.
  • Experience using version control with GitLab or GitHub.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting existing applications and creating new applications or features.
  • Clear and frequent communication skills.
  • Proficient in relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Dynamo, Postgres, and MongoDB.

Nice-to-haves

  • Full stack experience.
  • Comfortable using a variety of tech stacks (e.g., .NET/C#/Windows/SQL Server and Linux/Python/Postgres).
  • Security+ certification.
  • Modern frontend development experience (React/Vue/Solid/Angular).
  • Data analytics and data visualization skills.
  • UI design experience.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of tools.
  • Familiar with IA processes and accreditation.
  • Meet DOD 8570 certification requirements (Security+) or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience with UI Path.
