About the position

The Sales Specialist Millwork at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and safe store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing expert product knowledge, and ensuring merchandise is showroom ready. The Sales Specialist aims to close sales by offering consultative services and executing orders related to millwork products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store.
• Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed according to showroom standards and operates correctly during demonstrations.
• Engage in safe work practices and properly operate store equipment.
• Explain product specifications and features to customers to facilitate sales.
• Provide consultative services to ensure customer needs are met before they leave the store.
• Execute orders and projects related to millwork.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
• 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
• 2 years of experience in providing customer service, including resolving complaints and building customer relationships.
• 2 years of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.
• 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans such as installation or delivery.
• 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
• 1 year of experience in a trade directly related to Millwork.
