About the position

A financial institution client of Insight Global, based in the central & south Florida areas, is seeking a Software Developer III (Fullstack / .NET) to join their Software Development build team. The Software Developer III will be responsible for designing, coding, and developing new financial applications or web-based systems, as well as modifying existing core financial application systems and web-based systems. This role requires a full-stack developer who is proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies and possesses a working knowledge of relational databases. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the developer will need to mentor and guide junior developers and interface with the business. The position requires onsite work, which can be based in either the Melbourne HQ or Miramar Ops Center location.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, and integrates moderately complex internal and external core and web applications, services, and sites, including maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to fulfill business needs.
• Responds to end user trouble calls to resolve routine application software problems or assist with hardware issues remotely when possible, tracking tickets in an incident management system.
• Provides tier III technical support for staff on internal and external core and web applications and systems.
• Confers with vendors, other IT team members, users, and department managers to determine requirements for new or modified software and hardware, testing new configurations for usability and proper function.
• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies application systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation, while analyzing and resolving problems associated with application systems.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years prior experience with software analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, integration, deployment, support and documentation of core and web-based systems following the software development lifecycle.
• Proficient with .Net, VisualStudio, React, Azure DevOps Server, C#, and Shell.
• Working knowledge and experience of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and client-server concepts, object-oriented programming, web services, and Waterfall/Agile development methodologies.
• A 4-year college degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related academic area, or equivalent experience.
