About The Position

The Gas Plant Technology Specialist at Morrow Energy LLC is responsible for ensuring efficient operations within the gas plant. This role requires extensive experience in natural gas production operations, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage projects effectively. The specialist will provide technical support, optimize plant processes, and oversee equipment installation and maintenance, playing a critical role in the overall performance of the plant.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, process technology, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with natural gas plant operations, including troubleshooting and optimizing systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with compressors, control systems, and other major plant equipment.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to inspect and maintain plant systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan and execute technical projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with plant managers and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with plant start-ups and shutdowns.
  • Familiarity with gas processing technology and plant optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in commissioning and installing new units.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve operational issues in the gas plant to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
  • Coordinate the procurement of necessary parts, equipment, and tools for optimal plant operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve plant processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and output.
  • Plan, manage, and execute technical projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Assist in the removal and installation of major equipment such as compressors, pumps, and control systems.
  • Provide technical support for start-ups at other plant locations as needed.
  • Assist plant managers in maintaining proper stock levels of critical components such as couplings and other essential parts.
  • Install, inspect, test, and commission new equipment and units, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of compressors and control systems using tools such as micrometers, pressure gauges, and electronic diagnostic equipment to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Provide support during scheduled plant shutdowns for repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring a smooth and safe restart.
