Hawaii Multispecialty Group is seeking Gastroenterologists to join an established practice located in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii Island (the Big Island). This position is available due to a strong community need for additional gastroenterologists. The group has been in operation for nearly 20 years and consists of over 40 providers, including specialists in various fields such as urology, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery, infectious disease, and cardiology. The practice is well-supported by a robust primary care base, ensuring a steady flow of patients and a collaborative work environment. The gastroenterology practice features a free-standing Ambulatory Surgery Center, equipped with advanced imaging capabilities including CT, MRI, Sonography, Nuclear Medical, and Diagnostic X-ray. Physicians in this group hold privileges at a full-service, not-for-profit 94-bed acute care hospital, which also serves as a level III trauma center for the residents and visitors of the West Hawaii region. This affiliation provides a comprehensive support system for patient care and surgical procedures. The compensation package includes a base salary of $540,000, along with a $20,000 sign-on bonus and a $20,000 relocation stipend. Additional benefits include professional liability insurance, generous paid time off (20 days plus 3 sick days per year), 10 paid holidays, and 10 days of paid CME leave with up to $5,000 reimbursement per year. Health insurance options include individual coverage, life insurance, short-term disability, dental, and vision insurance, with a flexible spending account available. Retirement plans are offered after six months of service, with a 3% contribution of gross earnings, fully vested after five years. The position is also eligible for NHSC loan forgiveness, making it an attractive opportunity for new graduates and experienced physicians alike.
