GCP Data Architect

The position involves configuring GCP for a complex data migration from AWS, leading data movement activities, and working through all stages of a data solution life cycle. This includes analyzing and profiling data, creating conceptual, logical, and physical data model designs, and architecting and designing ETL, reporting, and analytics solutions. The role also requires leading source to target mapping, defining interface processes and standards, and implementing those standards. Additionally, the candidate will lead and facilitate solution JAD sessions to identify issues and proceed to develop and implement proactive monitoring and alert mechanisms for data issues. The candidate will assist the project leadership as part of the PMO leadership team and collaborate with other workstream leads to ensure overall developments are in sync. Identifying risks and opportunities of potential logic and data issues within the data environment, guiding, influencing, and mentoring junior members of the team, and collaborating effectively with the global team to ensure day-to-day deliverables are met are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Configure GCP for a complex data migration from AWS
• Lead data movement activities
• Analyze/profile data and create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs
• Architect and design ETL, reporting, and analytics solutions
• Lead source to target mapping and define interface processes and standards
• Implement standards for data solutions
• Lead and facilitate solution JAD sessions
• Develop and implement proactive monitoring and alert mechanisms for data issues
• Assist project leadership as part of the PMO leadership team
• Collaborate with other workstream leads to ensure overall developments are in sync
• Identify risks and opportunities of potential logic and data issues
• Guide, influence, and mentor junior team members
• Collaborate effectively with the global team to meet day-to-day deliverables

Requirements

• Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Dataflow
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
• Strong knowledge of GCP architecture and design patterns
• 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing GCP solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with clients and stakeholders
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Salary: $110K - $130K per year
