GEN AI Intern

About the position

SRS Distribution, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Home Depot, currently operates under a family of distinct local brands encompassing more than 760 locations across 47 states. Interns will have the opportunity to learn as well as contribute to the department through engaging and interesting work assignments. Learn how to integrate AI models into full-stack applications, ensuring seamless performance and user experience. Internships are an entrance point into a post-graduate, full time opportunity within SRS Distribution.

Responsibilities

• Work on cutting-edge AI models and full-stack development.
• Gain hands-on experience in building and deploying AI-powered applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support the creation and refinement of AI-generated text prompts for various applications, including chatbots, content generation, and customer support.
• Monitor performance and assist in analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to provide unofficial transcript.
• Actively in University, obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree by Spring 2026 with a GPA of 3.2 or above.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, reliable transportation, and be authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship in the US.
• Pass criminal and driving background check with a pre-employment drug test.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and/or Tableau.
• Proven team involvement and leadership skills in school and at work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Solid computer, strategy, communication, organization, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Back-end development with Python, Node.js.
• Front-end development technologies (Angular).
• Understanding of databases (SQL).
• Familiarity with natural language processing.
• Familiarity with any cloud stack (AWS, Azure).
