About the position

As a General Engineer, you will perform various duties including serving as a TRADOC staff advocate and facilities planning and programming specialist. You will be the central point of contact for all installation facilities engineering and construction actions impacting assigned TRADOC Centers of Excellence, Schools, and subordinate commands. Your role will involve developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of all assigned school and center initiatives, missions, operations, and programs. You will coordinate with schools/centers and garrison staffs on facility requirements and provide engineering planning expertise in support of stationing actions, expansion of existing training missions, and new missions. Additionally, you will ensure the currency and adequacy of facilities engineering standards for assigned schools and centers, incorporate enhancements or changes identified for standards and policies into facilities engineering and construction projects, and lead on-site assistance visits to installations to address identified issues. You will also monitor the development of installation action plans supporting assigned schools and centers through various facilities engineering and construction projects, including military construction, and represent TRADOC mission requirements during facility planning criteria development, requirements analysis, planning charrettes, and design charrettes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor development of installation action plans supporting assigned schools and centers through all types of facilities engineering and construction projects.
  • Represent TRADOC mission requirements during facility planning criteria development, requirements analysis, planning charrettes, and design charrettes.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required, up to 10% of the time.
