About the position

As a General Manager at Jimmy John's, you will play a crucial role in managing the restaurant's operations, ensuring high-quality customer service, and maintaining profitability. You will lead a team, oversee daily functions, and implement systems to achieve sales goals while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all functions of the restaurant to ensure fast, accurate, world-class customer service.
  • Achieve sales goals and develop employees while maintaining retention.
  • Oversee hiring, training, evaluating, discipline, and termination of employees.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching for new employees.
  • Delegate and manage the ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of supplies to minimize loss from waste or theft.
  • Assist in the supervision, preparation, sales, and service of food.
  • Forecast food items by estimating consumption per shift.
  • Supervise food preparation and service operations while on duty.
  • Assist team members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency.
  • Greet customers, take orders, use the cash register, assemble orders, and check for completeness and accuracy.
  • Complete daily food preparations including meat and vegetable slicing, portioning, and rotating products.
  • Execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and periodic paperwork with accuracy.
  • Control inventory using weekly inventory systems and maintain regular ordering schedules.
  • Conduct weekly manager meetings and audit systems and procedures.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and upkeep on store equipment and supplies.
  • Manage cash drawers during the shift and perform deposits and change orders.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Physical stamina to work 50-60 hours per week.
