About the position

The General Manager at Gravity Haus Breckenridge is responsible for overseeing the successful operations of the property, ensuring exceptional guest and member experiences while managing staff and operational standards. This role involves strategic leadership in both long-term and short-term planning, financial management, and maintaining high service levels in a competitive resort environment. The General Manager will lead all aspects of lodging operations, food and beverage services, and community engagement, aiming for strong financial performance and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed customer and member expectations as measured by brand scoring metrics through proactive lodging, food and beverage, retail, fitness programming, group/conference management and relations
  • Develop and execute property strategic plan along with departmental leaders
  • Exhibit keen financial acumen, creating and managing departmental budgets, including forecasting, variances and top-tier revenue management
  • Work closely with Revenue Management, Reservations, and Group Sales teams to maximize revenue and occupancy, ensuring the hotel is consistently positioned as top 2-3 performing hotels in market
  • Collaborate with other General Managers in-resort as well as leaders across the brand to resolve challenges and provide seamless Experiences of a Lifetime for guests, members and employees
  • Provide brand ambassadorship of Gravity Haus culture and happenings to Vail Resorts community
  • Recruit, interview, hire, coach, and develop leaders
  • Support guest and member recovery opportunities across all platforms
  • Complete processes as appropriate and act as a liaison with other company functions and departments
  • Champion a diverse, inclusive and equitable (DEI) culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required
  • 6-10 years lodging and hospitality experience required, with specific experience in luxury and brand environments
  • Previous Hotel, Assistant General Manager or General Manager experience highly advised
  • Proven experience and passion for providing excellent service
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills in English required
  • Valid Colorado Driver License and ability to complete a Motor Vehicle Report on hire is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required
