About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, values, and culture. This role involves managing team members, enhancing guest experiences, and driving profitability through effective leadership and operational management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the workforce by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training team members.
  • Create a positive workplace environment that reflects the company's vision, values, and culture.
  • Hold team members accountable for professional workplace interactions and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding restaurant operations.
  • Lead the team in providing quality guest experiences and personalized customer attention.
  • Monitor food handling procedures and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Manage the profitable operation of the restaurant, driving sales and guest loyalty.
  • Oversee inventory management and maintain quality standards for food and service.
  • Establish relationships with the local community and participate in marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure timely completion of administrative activities, including cash control and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience required.
  • A degree in Hospitality, Business, or Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and car insurance required.
  • Certification through Management Training Program(s) required after hire.
  • Completion of Next Step Management Development program required.
  • Serve Safe Food and/or Serve Safe Alcohol Certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills essential.
  • Ability to read and analyze financial statements and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Internet, and POS systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience with community engagement and local marketing partnerships.
